Our History
Built on Experience, Commitment, and Craftsmanship Since 1981
Motor Technology, Inc. was founded in January of 1981 by Thomas J. Ryan, a former United States Navy electro-mechanical technician. After completing his service, Tom returned to Central Pennsylvania and spent more than 25 years working as a rewinder, technician, and industry leader before starting his own motor repair company.
What began with just five employees has grown into a company of more than 100 skilled professionals. As one of the last family-owned and operated businesses in the industry, MTI has grown by investing in its people, maintaining high technical standards, and building long-term relationships with customers.
That commitment to employees and customers alike has earned MTI a reputation for reliability, quality, and service excellence throughout Central Pennsylvania and beyond.
