Motor, Generator,
& Gear Reducer Repair Services

Over our 40+ years in business, we’ve continually perfected our processes to surpass our customers’ expectations. Our Service Center & Services have countlessly proven our reliability to our clients. We’ve developed a unique set of methods to ensure precise repairs of your damaged equipment through our years of experience and the EASA (Electrical Apparatus Service Association) accreditation program. As a result, we are an EASA-accredited service center. Any type and size of AC or DC motors and equipment can be repaired, reconditioned, redesigned, and rewound by us. We take pride in our work and the quality of our services.

All incoming equipment is documented, inspected, cleaned, and baked to begin our repair procedure. Next, components are evaluated and, if necessary, replaced. The stator and copper windings can be impregnated with resins using VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation). Rotating equipment is also dynamically balanced per NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) or ISO standards.

In addition, our in-house machine shop services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to repair or produce parts for your spinning device. Specifications are based on the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) construction of electric motors and go above and beyond those set forth by NEMA. In addition, our highly qualified specialists have the necessary technical expertise and numerous years of field repair, machining, and welding experience to handle even the most complex repair processes. Blower, Vacuum, & Fan Repair Services

It’s easy to take industrial fans and blowers for granted, but when they stop running at peak efficiency, they can cause a catastrophic problem for your entire operation.

Motor Rewind Services

Through our accreditation program, we have established a complete and rigorous set of procedures to ensure proper reconditioning of your failed equipment. Failed stators are core loss tested before and after the burn-off phase in a precisely temperature-controlled oven. Doing so will ensure that the core iron meets or exceeds the testing procedures and standards within the industry. When it is determined that the stator has passed all the preliminary and core iron testing, the rewinding phase can begin. Insulation is prepared and added to the stator slot. Coils are manufactured to original specifications and tested for proper fit in the stator slot. When all the insulation materials and coils have been installed, the technician starts the connection process. Extreme care is taken to make concise connections that can be appropriately insulated before the tie-down procedure begins. Both ends of the winding are secured, and the stator is prepared for the VPI process. All windings meet or exceed Class F and H insulation systems. Helping your windings handle higher temperatures associated with today’s duty cycles, inverter voltage spikes using Inverter Duty Wire, and environmental contamination typically shortens motor windings’ life.

We are 1 of 152 accredited service centers in the world!

What is an EASA Accreditation?

To earn an EASA Accreditation, third-party experts thoroughly evaluated Motor Technology to show that we follow rigorous motor efficiency, calibration, and reliability standards in our repair and rebuild processes.

What’s a UL Certification?

Motor Technology is a certified UL (Underwriters Laboratories) facility for electric motors used in hazardous situations. All repairs requiring UL certification have been tested to nationally recognized safety and sustainability criteria according to this certification. In a Division 2 setting, they are also free of a reasonable fire and electric shock risk.
